“Faces” is a work in progress depicting emotions. Through bold and swift strokes, I aim to capture the essence of feelings typically evoked by social interactions. The majority of my drawings focus on anger, fear, and sadness. However, I find it challenging to portray happy emotions.
As Hemingway once said, “Happiness in intelligent people is the rarest thing I know.” Sadness has been a constant companion in my life, but I have made peace with it. Art has granted me the key to understanding and expressing it. Each sketch is a journey into the depths of human experience, an attempt to translate the complexities of emotion onto paper.
Despite the struggle to depict joy, I am determined to explore its nuances and find resonance within my art. Through this exploration, I hope to illuminate the full spectrum of human emotion and connection.
