“Duelo” marks my inaugural performance. Never before had I viewed myself as a performer, but this act became a necessity, a means to confront an overwhelming pain. Only through music and dance could I grapple with the tumultuous emotions of anger and sadness.

The dual-faced mask symbolizes the dichotomy of these emotions: anger, initially unchecked and primal, giving way to a deeper realization that sadness was the truest, albeit more daunting, emotion. Through a reflective ritual, I embraced sadness, refusing to relegate it to a recurring cycle of denial.

This process became a journey of healing, wherein I not only discovered myself but also found solace in the transformative power of art. Grateful for the ability to transmute adversity into creation, I emerged from this experience with newfound understanding and resilience.
